Welcome to Black Horse Ranch
A place for Horses, Humans and Healing
Part of the Cheyenne River Episcopal Mission in the Diocese of South Dakota

Black Horse Ranch is a twenty-acre ministry on the Cheyenne River Reservation in Eagle Butte, South Dakota, founded by Rev. Ellen and Rev. Kurt Huber as part of the Cheyenne River Episcopal Mission. Guided by Mitákuye Oyás'iÅ‹, the Lakota teaching that we are all related, we participate in the restoration of Lakota horse culture through equine ministry. Our eleven horses and ponies anchor three programs: a summer youth camp, year-round equine-facilitated learning for individuals and groups, and an equine wellness program for people in recovery. All are welcome.
